Drainage Diagram

The village drains water from the central mound acting as a watershed from which runoff radiates outward. The built fabric forms a ring along mid-slopes, strategically positioned on natural terraces where gradients ease, allowing roads and habitation to follow the land’s contours.

The adjoining diagram illustrates how Utre’s spatial organization responds to topography and water — from rugged highlands to cultivated plains — embodying a vernacular intelligence that harmonizes settlement with ecological flow.
